GTA 6 Characters

The GTA 6 characters confirmed so far are led by dual playable protagonists Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval, whose Bonnie-and-Clyde-style partnership anchors Rockstar’s return to the state of Leonida. Around them, Rockstar has revealed a supporting cast rooted in the Leonida Keys and Vice City — from veteran smuggler Brian Heder to rap duo Real Dimez — each detailed in official profiles on the GTA VI site. You will play as both leads, switching instantly when they are together and via a brief transition when they are apart, with some story sections locked to one perspective. This wiki profiles every confirmed GTA 6 character in one place, clearly separating official facts from labelled rumours — see also our GTA 6 characters hub for the latest headlines.

Lucia Caminos

✅ Confirmed · Protagonist (playable)

Backstory

Lucia’s father taught her to fight as soon as she could walk. Fighting for her family landed her in Leonida Penitentiary, and she got out through sheer luck. Fresh out, she is chasing the good life her mother has dreamed of since their days in Liberty City, and she intends to play only smart moves from here on.

Role in the story & relationships

Lucia is Jason Duval’s romantic and criminal partner in a Bonnie-and-Clyde-style pairing. According to the official story blurb, after an easy score goes wrong, the pair are caught in a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — the thread that pulls their story across the map.

Trailer appearances

Trailer 1 (Dec 2023) opens on Lucia in a prison interview room and she carries most of that trailer. In Trailer 2 (May 2025), Jason collects her outside Leonida Penitentiary on her release, and an ankle monitor is visible in early scenes.

Jason Duval

✅ Confirmed · Protagonist (playable)

Backstory

Jason grew up surrounded by grifters and crooks. A brief U.S. Army stint to escape his past did not take, and he drifted into crime in the Keys. He wants an easy life, but things just keep getting harder — the tension at the heart of his arc.

Role in the story & relationships

Jason is Lucia Caminos’ partner, both romantically and in crime, an enforcer and errand-runner for Brian Heder, and a close friend of Cal Hampton. For our deeper solo profile, see Jason Duval explained.

Trailer appearances

Jason appears alongside Lucia in Trailer 1. In Trailer 2, he collects Lucia at the prison gates, Brian tasks him with shakedowns to “get those businesses in line”, and he is shown collecting protection money from a store cashier.

“Jason wants an easy life, but things just keep getting harder.”

Brian Heder

✅ Confirmed · Supporting character

Backstory

Brian is a classic drug runner from the golden age of smuggling in the Keys. These days he lets others do his dirty work, whilst still moving product through the boatyard alongside Lori.

Role in the story & relationships

Brian is Jason’s boss, landlord and mentor figure, and is married to Lori, his third wife. He also employs Cal Hampton. He lets Jason live rent-free in one of his properties in exchange for shakedowns and errands — including small jobs for Lori.

Trailer appearances

Brian appears early in Trailer 2, asking Jason why he is on the roof and tasking him with shaking down clients.

Lori Heder

✅ Confirmed as named · Supporting character (minor — no standalone Rockstar profile)

Lori is Brian Heder’s third wife. Jason runs small errands for her as part of his rent-free deal with Brian. Trailer appearances: not separately identified in coverage so far. We will expand this short profile if Rockstar gives Lori a standalone reveal.

Cal Hampton

✅ Confirmed · Supporting character

Backstory

Cal is a conspiracy-minded ally who feels safest hanging at home, snooping on Coast Guard comms with a few beers and some private browser tabs open — Rockstar’s portrait of a Keys local who trusts nothing official.

Role in the story & relationships

Cal is Jason’s close friend and drinking buddy, and he also works for Brian Heder. He is part of the Keys circle that surrounds Jason before Lucia’s release pulls the story wider.

Trailer appearances

In Trailer 2, Cal is seen with Jason and Lucia at The Rusty Anchor bar and in a warehouse, and he asks to be set up with Lucia’s friends.

Boobie Ike

✅ Confirmed · Supporting character

Backstory

Boobie has rebuilt a street reputation into a legitimate empire spanning property, nightlife and music. He is described as all smiles until it is time to talk business — a useful friend, and a dangerous creditor.

Role in the story & relationships

Boobie is Dre’Quan Priest’s business partner in Only Raw Records, and his Jack of Hearts club hosts label acts. His businesses tie the Vice City music scene directly into the wider cast.

Trailer appearances

Not prominently identified in trailer coverage so far.

Dre’Quan Priest

✅ Confirmed · Supporting character

Backstory

Dre’Quan was always more of a hustler than a gangster. He dealt on the streets whilst aiming to break into music, signed Real Dimez, and now books acts into Boobie’s club whilst setting his sights on the whole Vice City scene.

Role in the story & relationships

He is Boobie Ike’s partner in Only Raw Records and the label boss of Real Dimez — the bridge between the street story and Vice City’s music industry.

Trailer appearances

Not separately identified in trailer coverage so far.

Real Dimez

✅ Confirmed · Supporting characters (duo)

Backstory

Bae-Luxe and Roxy have been friends since high school. They turned their time shaking down local dealers into cold, hard cash via spicy rap tracks and a relentless social media presence, landed an early hit single with local rapper DWNPLY, and five years later signed to Only Raw Records.

Role in the story & relationships

Real Dimez are signed to Dre’Quan Priest’s Only Raw Records, placing them at the centre of Vice City’s fictional music scene alongside Boobie Ike’s venues.

Trailer appearances

Not separately identified in trailer coverage so far.

“Viral videos. Viral hooks.”

Raul Bautista

✅ Confirmed · Supporting character

Backstory

Raul is a seasoned bank robber always on the hunt for talent ready to take the risks that bring the biggest rewards. His recklessness raises the stakes with every score.

Role in the story & relationships

As a veteran robber scouting new talent, Raul is positioned as a likely heist contact for Jason and Lucia. His crew must eventually double down or pull their chips from the table — the kind of pressure that tends to ignite a GTA story.

Trailer appearances

Not separately identified in trailer coverage so far.

“Experience Counts.”

Stefanie

⚠️ Named in footage only · Minor character

Stefanie is Lucia’s corrections counsellor, seemingly named Stefanie judging by her desk’s nameplate in footage (PC Gamer). No Rockstar profile exists for her and nothing else has been revealed yet, so we list her here as a minor named character only.

GTA 6 characters: how character switching works

Switching is built around the partnership. When Jason and Lucia are together, you swap instantly — drive as one whilst the other rides shotgun. When they are separated, switching uses a brief GTA 5-style transition instead. For wider answers on release, map and systems, see our GTA 6 FAQ.

• Free roam: free switching outside missions; the character you are not playing lives their own day, and you can switch to either of them.
• Missions: it varies — Rockstar North’s Rob Nelson told Famitsu that some sections are locked to one character’s perspective.
• On the run: in free roam the pair can split up to divide police attention.

⚠️ Unconfirmed: character-wheel inputs and zip-tie/command mechanics trace to fan sites and the 2022 leak. Rockstar has not confirmed them, so treat any such detail as unconfirmed until officially stated.

Cast & voice actors

Rockstar has not published an official voice cast list. The only actor to confirm involvement is Stephen Root — and even there, the character match is identification, not an issued credit. Everything else below is honestly labelled.

Stephen Root confirmed to the Associated Press (BAFTA TV Tea Party, Sept 13, 2026) that he is in GTA 6 — the first actor to do so. He did not name his character; the Brian Heder match is universal press/fan voice identification, not an official Rockstar or actor credit.

Rumours & fan theories

⚠️ Everything in this section is rumour or fan theory — unconfirmed and labelled as such.

• ⚠️ Jason undercover-cop theory (fan theory): fans cite Trailer 2’s corrections-officer exchange (“Have I seen you here before?” / “You might have”), a gang member asking if he is a “fed”, the “Us cops, we gotta protect each other” line, and tactical clothing. Pushback: the official bio says ex-military, not law enforcement (Know Your Meme; Beebom; IndiaTimes).
• ⚠️ Casting rumours (all unconfirmed): Manni L. Perez = Lucia; Dylan Rourke = Jason; Bobby Moynihan = Cal; Manny Perez = Raul. None has been confirmed by Rockstar or the actors as character credits.
