Home›Characters›GTA 6 Characters: Every Confirmed Character in Leonida So Far
Rockstar has named nine characters for Grand Theft Auto VI — and exactly one actor. In a marketing cycle defined by secrecy, the Leonida cast list that Rockstar quietly published on its official website alongside the second trailer remains the single biggest window into the story of GTA 6. Then, in September, veteran actor Stephen Root blew the lid off the silence by confirming he’s in the game.
Here’s every confirmed character so far — who they are, what Rockstar’s own bios say about them, and what the Expanded Look and the year’s coverage have added — plus the one name Rockstar never meant to let slip.
Lucia Caminos — the first protagonist
Lucia is half of GTA 6’s playable duo and the first female protagonist in series history. According to Rockstar’s official bio, she was born in Liberty City and her father taught her to hold her own in a fight from a young age — a skill that put her in the Leonida Penitentiary after she fiercely defended her family.
“Sheer luck” is what gets her out at the start of the game, per Rockstar. Fresh out of prison and determined to secure the “good life” her mother always dreamed of, she takes matters into her own hands — and into a partnership with Jason. Trailer 1 gave Lucia most of the screen time, and she’s the emotional engine of the story: fighting for family is what put her away, and it’s what drives her now that she’s out.
Jason Duval — the partner
Jason is Lucia’s romantic and criminal partner, and the game’s second playable lead. He grew up surrounded by grifters and crooks, then did a brief stint in the U.S. Army trying to escape that past. It didn’t take — he drifted back into crime, running shakedowns and moving product for local drug syndicates in the Leonida Keys.
Rockstar frames Jason as a man who wants an easy life that only ever gets more complicated. In the second trailer he’s the one who collects Lucia after her release, and the two are immediately, comfortably criminal together — a Bonnie-and-Clyde dynamic that the trailers lean into hard. His day job, as it turns out, is working for the next name on this list.
Brian Heder — the boss (voiced by Stephen Root)
Brian is a classic drug runner from the “golden age of smuggling” in the Leonida Keys, running Brian’s Boat Works & Marina alongside his third wife, Lori. He’s the man who lets Jason live rent-free on one of his properties — in exchange for illicit muscle work and the occasional local shakedown.
Brian is also the story behind the only casting confirmation Rockstar never intended to announce. Fans recognised the voice of King of the Hill and Barry veteran Stephen Root in the second trailer back in May 2025, and at a BAFTA event this September, Root told the Associated Press: “Yeah, you’re gonna see me in it.” As GameSpot noted, Root’s Emmy win days later made him only the second Emmy-winning actor to ever appear in a GTA game — after James Woods in San Andreas.
The reveal rattled Rockstar’s legendary secrecy so much that, according to TechWiser, the studio emailed its voice cast to remind them their NDAs hold until launch day. Per the reported email, November 19, 2026 — release day — is the earliest any cast member may announce their involvement. Root remains, to this day, the only confirmed cast member on record.
Lori — Brian’s third wife
Rockstar’s bios mention Lori only briefly, but the detail is telling: she and Brian run the boat-yard operation together. In a story about partners — Lucia and Jason, Brian and Lori — the veteran smuggler’s marriage looks like a thematic mirror for the game’s leads. Expect Lori to be more than set dressing when Jason’s rent-free arrangement inevitably goes sideways.
Raul Bautista — the bank robber
Described by Rockstar as a highly seasoned but increasingly reckless bank robber operating in Vice City, Raul is charm and risk in equal measure — always on the hunt for wild new talent for his scores. According to creator-preview reporting, Raul is introduced through Brian in the Extended Look, with the two sharing a history that may stretch back to a prison cell.
If GTA 6 needs a heist architect in the Lester Crest mould, Raul is the obvious candidate — the connected veteran who sees in Jason and Lucia exactly what he needs.
Boobie Ike — the mogul
Boobie Ike is a former street hustler who went legit — at least on paper. He’s now a real-estate mogul and music entrepreneur, owner of the Jack of Hearts strip club and the man behind Only Raw Records. As PC Gamer’s character rundown puts it, he’s the businessman of the cast, proof that in Leonida the line between the street and the boardroom is mostly decorative.
Dre’Quan Priest — the hustler
Dre’Quan is a musician who, in Rockstar’s own words, is “more of a hustler than a gangster.” He’s an aspiring music producer tied to Vice City’s music scene — the guy trying to make it through the industry while the city’s real power moves happen around him. In a game whose official soundtrack album is dropping day-and-date, a music-scene character isn’t filler; he’s texture.
Cal Hampton — the conspiracy theorist
Jason’s close friend and a fellow associate of Brian, Cal is deep into casual paranoia and internet conspiracies — happiest at home, snooping on Coast Guard communications over a few beers. Every GTA needs its weirdo in the van; Cal is clearly this one’s. Don’t be surprised if his “crazy” theories turn out to be mission briefings.
Real Dimez — Bae-Luxe and Roxy
High-school friends turned rap duo and social-media sensations, Bae-Luxe and Roxy go by Real Dimez. They’re Vice City’s viral royalty — the in-world reflection of the game’s obsession with modern fame. Expect them to matter to the story the way the in-game internet mattered in GTA V: everywhere, and occasionally lethal.
What this means
Nine confirmed characters, revealed quietly through Rockstar’s own site and trailers — and one accidental casting confirmation that the studio then had to NDA its way around. That imbalance is the real story: Rockstar has built a full ensemble (a boss, a heist man, a mogul, a hustler, a theorist, pop stars) around two protagonists, and it still won’t officially name a single actor.
The structure of the cast tells you the shape of the game. Jason works for Brian, Brian introduces Raul, Boobie and Dre’Quan run the city’s legitimate face, Cal watches the Coast Guard, and Real Dimez owns the culture. It’s a crime ecosystem, not just a gang — and it suggests GTA 6’s story will move through layers of Leonida society the way its map moves through the state.
With Game Informer’s 14-page cover story landing on September 29, expect the roster to grow — new screenshots and developer interviews almost always mean new faces. Until then, these nine are the whole confirmed world. Watch the credits roll on November 19 for the rest.
